Alex Warren, one of the most significant breakout stars of 2025, is keeping his momentum alive. Following the massive success of his debut album, You’ll Be Alright, Kid—which secured a top 5 spot on the Billboard 200—and the viral dominance of his hit single “Ordinary,” Warren is officially preparing for his next chapter. The singer-songwriter has announced his sophomore album, Wildchild, set for release on August 28 via Atlantic Records.
To celebrate the announcement, Warren has shared the album’s latest single, “Passenger.” The track joins previously released songs “Fine Place to Die” and “Fever Dream,” further establishing the thematic direction of his upcoming project.
Reflecting on the title of the record, Warren shared a deeply personal connection to the name. “Growing up, my dad used to call me Wildchild so it’s always had a special meaning and I even have it tattooed on me,” he explained. “Creating this album was really healing, therapeutic and a way for me to continue finding out more about myself.”
Warren noted a distinct shift in perspective between his debut and this new collection of music. “This album really shows where I am in my life today and compared to my first album which feels like a man who is broken, this one is a man who’s trying to heal. It’s been really nice to be able to confront those feelings and also be able to share them with the world to give everyone a transparent view into my life.”
