Young Dolph’s death has sent shockwaves throughout the hip-hop community.
The Memphis rapper was gunned down outside a local cookie store in his hometown on Wednesday afternoon. He was 36 years old. A source says Dolph went into the store when a vehicle pulled up and opened fire, striking the rapper.
Following the tragic news, Dolph’s fans and peers took to social media to pay their respects to the “Case Closed” hitmaker.
Megan Thee Stallion, who collaborated with Dolph on “RNB,” was stunned over the death of her friend.
“I am sooo sick rn I am in disbelief! Praying for his family and friends ! Rest In Peace to my friend a true legend dolph,” she wrote.

Keke Palmer shared her support for Dolph’s wife and mother of his two kids, Mia Jaye, while remarking on the circumstances surrounding his death.
“The way folks moving these days seems unreal,” she said. “Instead of being inspired or uplifted by someone’s success there is nothing but jealousy and envy and this hurts me esp for our community.”
A close friend of the family, Monica, spoke with Dolph on FaceTime just the day before. “My heart is shattered,” she wrote in her emotional post. “I had no idea that last night would be the last time I saw your face! I told you , you were my brother & that’s how it will remain FOREVER!! #UntilWeMeetAgain To your Family & Your Wife & Children I am here!!”
