Following a collaboration with Vans and Salomon, Shenzhen-based retailer COSTS has now reconnected with Diadora. Building on its outlook of distinct individuality and the art of living, COSTS and the premium Italian sport brand continued their “rare and precious things†series.
Integrating environmental awareness into design resulted in the creation of the COSTS x Diadora V7000 “Coral Pink.†The combination of pure Italian handcraftsmanship and quality material manufacturing came together to form a celebration of the wonders found in the ocean.
Expressing sea tones of dark blue and turquoise blue, the uppers feature a double-layer suede construction accented by black leather. The layered look is also detailed with bring pink Diadora emblems to represent vibrant deep-water coral found on the sea floor. Aside from the marine environmental conservation emphasis, branding comes in the form of co-branding embroidered at the tongues, “V.7000†at the heels, and anchor/coral motifs at the rear.
Finishing up the design of the shoe are specially printed insoles, sculpted midsoles, and segmented rubber outsoles.
Priced at ¥1,699 RMB (approximately $245 USD), the COSTS x Diadora V7000 “Coral Pink†will be available via COSTS March 11.
