Update: Following the reveal of an Air Jordan 1 Low OG “UNC” PE, on-foot shots of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “UNC Toe” have surfaced. While Jordan Brand has yet to officially share any release information regarding the pair, a launch date of July 8 at a price of $180 USD remains expected. For more information, dive into our initial coverage below.

Original Story: Jordan sneakers have been around for nearly four decades, and one way that Jumpman designers keep things fresh is by cooking up a barrage of retro offerings that salute various parts of the six-time champion’s storied career. One motif that often gets revisited is his college career at the University of North Carolina, and it is once again appearing on this forthcoming Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “UNC Toe” makeup.

Early imagery of the pair give us a detailed look at its overall composition. Right off the bat one can compare this installment to the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Obsidian” that was released in 2019 given that the color-blocking is almost identical. Tar Heel-inspired “University Blue” accents dress up the ankle flaps and lower heel overlays while the quarter panels and midsoles are done up in white. However, this rendition deviates with “University Blue” toe boxes and solid black Swooshes, laces, tongues, ball-and-wings logos and forefoot overlays that allow it to stand on its own.

Interested in copping? Early reports have these scheduled to drop on July 8, 2023 in full family sizes, but Nike hasn’t confirmed this information just yet.

For other news, images of a Craig Sager-inspired Air Jordan 1 High colorway have appeared.
