The Nike KD 15 Receives the “What the” Treatment

Since appearing last year, Nike Basketball has outfitted Kevin Durant’s latest silhouette — the KD 15 — in over 20 colorways. Celebrating its run thus far, the Swoosh has assembled a commemorative “What The” presentation of the court-ready sneaker. Previously, this mismatched medley makeover has outfitted classics such as the SB Dunk Low and has even covered previous KD sneakers such as the KD 7.

In this highly-detailed take on the KD 15, the pair sees 10 different colorways referenced in its presentation. The mismatched shoes share two things in common — the left cage replicates the “Psychic Purple” glow-in-the-dark look while the right favors the “B.A.D.” look in lavender.

Focusing on the left shoe, its base draws from the “Aunt Pearl” colorway. Elsewhere, its tongue, laces and lining opt for the colorful “Beginnings” arrangement while the heel and heel tab take on the “Brooklyn Courts” look. The magenta-colored sockliner references the Boi-1da collaboration and sole unit combines the Cardo collaboration’s midsole and “All-Star” outsole.

Pivoting to the right sneaker, “Psychic Purple” covers the base — complementing the “Aunt Pearl” tongue detailing. A nod to 9th Wonder’s partnership on the kicks appears at the lining and laces while Cardo’s pair pops up again at the heel and its tab. Wrapping things up, the “Aimbot” sole unit and “All-Star” sockliner offer final touches to the celebratory colorway.

As of now, the only release information regarding Nike’s KD 15 “What The” is that it’ll be priced at $160 USD. Expect it to land on shelves in the coming months via the Swoosh and select Nike Basketball retailers.
