Drake Drops Not-So-Short Film FOMO Featuring New Music and Famous Friends

Drake has released his hour-long film, FOMO (Fear of Missing Out), showcasing new music, celebrity cameos, and an inside look at his extensive jewelry collection.

Drake has officially released his highly anticipated not-so-short film, FOMO (Fear of Missing Out), a project that blends cinematic visuals with a fresh collection of music. Following a series of delays, the visual project arrived on YouTube on Tuesday night (Sept. 15), offering fans an immersive experience that functions much like an hour-long music video.

The film serves as a showcase for tracks from his recent albums, Maid of Honour and Habibti. Among the featured songs are “Cheetah Print,” “Outside Tweaking,” “Amazing Shape,” “True Bestie,” “New Bestie,” “H*e Phase,” “WNBA,” “Road Trips,” “I’m Spent,” “Rusty,” and “White Bone.” In addition to these established tracks, Drake debuted several new compositions, including two collaborations with Don Toliver.

Beyond the music, the project is packed with star power. The mini-movie features guest appearances from a diverse group of public figures, including Kevin Durant, Sexyy Red, Stunna Sandy, Lena The Plug, Shane Gillis, and the artist’s mother. A standout moment occurs around the 29:50 mark, where the rapper provides an intimate look at his massive jewelry collection, highlighting his multi-million-dollar engagement ring necklace and an array of luxury timepieces.

The release of FOMO follows a period of intense speculation. Drake first teased the project on August 21 by sharing an image of what appeared to be album artwork on Instagram, featuring a CD jewel case labeled “FEAR OF MISSING OUT.” In a candid social media post, he described the film as “self-funded surrealism,” framing it as a story about making the most of a single summer. He encouraged his audience to use the project as motivation to “take that trip, drop that song, open that shop, see your parents, leave that relationship or stay in it forever.”

While the film was briefly available for streaming, it was inexplicably removed from YouTube shortly after its debut. Despite the sudden disappearance of the video, the project has successfully generated significant buzz as the artist prepares for his upcoming 2027 tour.
