Sean Diddy has reportedly been moved to a new prison facility following recent reports of a physical altercation with a fellow inmate and allegations regarding the possession of contraband. As of Friday, October 16, 2026, the embattled mogul has been transferred from the FCI Fort Dix facility in New Jersey to the Federal Corrections Institution in Allenwood, Pennsylvania.
The transition to the Allenwood facility, which houses approximately 1,000 inmates compared to the 4,000-inmate population at Fort Dix, is being viewed by observers as a security-focused measure. While the federal Bureau of Prisons has declined to comment on the specific motivations behind the transfer, representatives for the artist have emphasized the importance of his safety.
In a statement provided to XXL, Diddy’s representative, Juda S. Engelmayer, noted, “We appreciate the Bureau of Prisons taking the safety and security of Sean and everyone involved seriously. His transfer from one low-security facility to another is an important distinction, and while we cannot speak to the BOP’s specific reasons for the move, it is consistent with a decision made with safety and security in mind.”
The move follows a period of significant scrutiny regarding the mogul’s time in custody. Reports indicate that Diddy previously lost 41 days of good time credit and 400 days of commissary privileges due to multiple infractions. These issues were compounded by an NBC News exposé alleging that he had access to prohibited items, including a cell phone, and had utilized his influence to secure unauthorized perks within the facility. While some reports suggested a recent head injury was the result of a fight with another inmate, a spokesperson for the Bureau of Prisons has officially refuted those claims, stating that such reports are false.
Diddy is currently scheduled to be released from federal custody on March 2, 2028.
