Racism has been recognized as a threat to public health by the American Medical  Association. In the statement, racism has been recognized by the largest association of  physicians in the country as the “primary drivers of racial health inequity.” In the  same statement, the AMA spoke about how they plan on supporting resources  working towards understanding the implications of racism in healthcare and  attempting to correct them.
