Throughout recent years, Japanese label Ballaholic has teamed up with ASICS to combine its streetball-inspired design language with the sportswear specialists. Most recently, the two unearthed the ASICS EX89, a shoe spotted on NBA courts back in the late ’80s. Now, the duo has taken on the classic GEL-LYTE III OG as part of their collaborative “Ball On Journey†campaign.
Appearing as the fifth collaborative product from Ballaholic and ASICS, a “Harvest Pumpkin†nods to the orange of basketballs with a layered suede upper. Various co-branding elements make an appearance throughout the pair — ball embroidery at the tongue, gold Ballaholic script at the lateral heel and a medial heel note that lists “2023†on the left shoe and “Ball On Journey†on the right. Four lace colors in ivory, blue, green and “Harvest Pumpkin†are included and complement the various color details at the toe and multicolored sole unit.
Having released previously via Ballaholic and ASICS, the sold out drop has made its way to HBX where pairs can be purchased at a price of $150 USD. Act fast as sizes have already started to go out of stock.
