Billboard Latin Music Awards 2020: Regional Mexican Song Finalists

At the 2020 Billboard Latin Music Awards, Christian NodalLos Angeles Azules and more are repping regional Mexican music as finalists.

The upcoming event will honor the best in Latin music, with 59 different categories in the main musical genres, including Latin pop, tropical, Latin rhythm and regional Mexican. One of the biggest categories of the night is Regional Mexican song of the year, spotlighting four tracks that have each landed on the Hot Latin Songs, Latin Airplay and Regional Mexican Airplay charts.

The finalists are: Banda Los Sebastianes de Mazatlán, Sinaloa’s “A Través del Vaso,” Calibre 50’s “Simplemente Gracias,” Christian Nodal’s “De Los Besos Que Te Di” and Los Ángeles Azules’ “Nunca Es Suficiente” featuring Natalia Lafourcade.

The only awards show to honor the most popular albums, songs and performers in Latin music, the awards are determined by the actual sales, streaming, radio airplay and social data that informs Billboard’s weekly charts during a one-year period from the rankings dated February 2, 2019, through this year’s January 25 charts.

The awards show is the culmination of LatinFest+, produced by Billboard and Telemundo, which is a three-day immersive experience dedicated to Latin music, culture and entertainment taking place April 20-23 at The Venetian in Las Vegas, Nevada.
