Born x Raised x Nike SB Dunk Low Release Delayed

Update: The city of Los Angeles, and the streetwear community as a whole, continues to mourn the tragic loss of Chris “Spanto” Printup, co-founder of Born x Raised. As a result, Nike has pulled the upcoming Born x Raised x Nike SB Collection from the SNKRS platform, including the much-anticipated SB Dunk Low and its complementary apparel.

Update: The Swoosh has officially unveiled its Born x Raised x Nike SB Dunk Low collaboration. This up-closer look at the pair shows off its extra details such as the “On the Turf” branding that arrives on the interior of the tongues lower heels, the insoles which are prepared with blurry LA street graphics and the Born x Raised logos that are situated on the forefoot of the treading. Nike SNKRS is slated to drop these on July 21.

Update: Following the reveal of initial images, a closer look at Born x Raised’s forthcoming Nike SB Dunk Low collaboration has arrived. This second look delivers additional details, such as jeweled upper eyelets and diamond-shaped toe box perforations.

Holographic accents on the medial Swooshes and co-branded heel tabs continue to shine bright, while the heel counters show pink embroidered emblems that keep us eager for additional information on the pair.

Original Story: 2023 is looking up for Nike and its SB label as there are plans in place to release a sizable amount of exciting footwear collaborations. The Swoosh division already has a two-piece pack coming with Run the Jewels and a thirst-quenching team-up with Mexican beverage company Jarritos, and now it’s expanding its wings with a Born x Raised x Nike SB Dunk Low.

Early images have landed on our radar, revealing a plethora of striking details. The LA-based streetwear label upgrades the classic SB model with a crisp white and blue color scheme, the former hue residing on the tongues, quarter panels and toe boxes, while the latter is positioned on the overlays. Toe boxes trade out their usual dotted perforations for cross shapes, and the heels are enhanced with holographic heel panels and remixed “Born SB” branding. “One Block at a Time” is a signature motto for Born x Raised, and the imprint elects to highlight this on the tongues and toe tips. It’s likely that these are dedicated to a loved one of the brand given that the laces have been adorned with the words “In Loving Memory”. Additionally, the heels have been styled with a 3D block that spells out “On the Turf.”
