Brandy Responds to Jack Harlow, Says She Will ‘Murk’ Him in Rap

Brandy wants smoke with Jack Harlow.

The R&B singer has finally responded to a viral video where the “First Class” rapper admitted that he didn’t know that she and Ray J were siblings.

“I will murk this dude in rap at 43 on his own beats and then sing is ass to sleep,” Brandy tweeted on Monday night in response to the interview.

When a Harlow fan told her that she was late to respond and that it wasn’t “that deep,” she joked that she didn’t know Harlow was a rapper. “I know I’m mad late… but it was a joke,” she said. “I didn’t know he rapped so I was just Poking but I see now this was a big thing a few days ago.”

However, she has no beef with Harlow. She later added, “See, I can have a little fun too hehe…all love.”

In addition to singing, Brandy has been known to bust a rhyme every now and then. She officially introduced her rap alter ego “B Rocka” on her 2002 album Full Moon. She also showed off her rap skills as Xplicit Lyrics, one fourth of ’90s rap group Nasty Bitches, on the ABC drama series “Queens.”

Jack also appeared to see the fun in it all. He posted a photo of Brandy and Ray J together and soundtracked it with Brandy’s Kanye West collaboration “Bring Me Down,” which includes the lyrics, “I always knew that one day / They’d try to bring me down.”

During a visit to Hot 97’s “Ebro in the Morning” last week, Harlow was quizzed on his musical knowledge. At one point, the hosts played Brandy’s “Angel in Disguise,” but he didn’t know who the artist was and mistakenly guessed Aaliyah.

After he was informed that the singer was Ray J’s sister, a stunned Jack responded, “Brandy and Ray J are siblings? Nobody’s ever told me that in my life.” He was roasted on social media by fans who couldn’t believe that he didn’t know the superstars were siblings.

Brandy was slated to perform with Timbaland at this weekend’s Lovers and Friends Festival in Las Vegas, but she had to cancel at the last minute due to COVID.

“I’m taking every precaution to isolate and no one else on my team was affected,” she wrote while sharing footage from rehearsals. “As you can see we had an amazing show planned. Please keep me in your prayers. I love you all so much.”
