About two months ago, the fifth studio album of Burna Boy- Twice as Tall – was released, featuring 15 tracks as well as features from Youssou N’Dour, Naughty by Nature, Chris Martin, and more. Recently, the latest visual for “Real Life” was also released, featuring Stormzy. Both the artists talk about personal struggles, survival, as well as the need for support to progress as well as succeed over production from Telz and Mario Winans:

The video comes courtesy of Meji Alabi, and showcases British youth amid a scenario with rising knife crime. In the clip, one man is portrayed who is, on the one hand, engaged in some mischief on the street while on the other, he seems to be building a family with his pregnant partner. Eventually, what is presumed to be a retaliatory stabbing unfolds, and it is divulged that the man has an innocent twin brother who was the one who lost his life. Moreover, it is also clarified that the killer is a friend, making it even more obvious that the killings that occur in the Black community ae often senseless, regardless of where one resides.
“Real Life” comes after the release of the music videos for “Wonderful” and “Monsters You Made.” This year, Burna Boy also contributed to others’ projects by assisting on tracks by Dave, Sam Smith, Pop Smoke, and more.
