Drake and Future Producer D. Hill Has Died

The hip-hop community is mourning the death of D. Hill.

The multi-platinum and Grammy-nominated producer behind Drake and Future’s hit “Life Is Good” has passed away. His death was confirmed by fellow producer Mojo Krazy and his grandmother.

“Y’all please pray for my family,” Tracey West wrote on Facebook, according to HipHopDX. “My sweet grandson Darius Hill has passed away .. Continue to Pray for his Family and Friends as we all go through the day ahead.”

Taking to his Instagram Story, Future penned a tribute to his late friend and collaborator. “Lost for words. RIP @d.hill,” he wrote alongside a photo of D. Hill. “U did legendary shit in such ah short time …rest up Lil bro.”

His cause of death is unknown at this time. Born Darius Hill, D. Hill co-produced Drake and Future’s 9x platinum Grammy-nominated hit “Life Is Good,” as well as “Desires” off Dark Lane Demo Tapes. He also produced several songs on Future and Lil Uzi Vert’s joint album Pluto x Baby Pluto.

Friends and fans paid their respects on social media. “RIP BROTHER I CANT BELIEVE THIS,” commented one, while another aded, “Ahead of your time and gone too soon.”
