Dua Lipa is ďhorrifiedĒ over DaBabyís homophobic rant.
During his set at Rolling Loud Miami on Sunday (July 25), the rapper made a series of offensive remarks directed at the LGBTQ+ community.
ďIf you didnít show up today with HIV, AIDS, any of them deadly sexually-transmitted diseases thatíll make you die in two, three weeks, put a cell phone lighter up,Ē DaBaby told the crowd. ďFellas, if you ainít suckiní d**k in the parking lot, put your cell phone lights up.Ē
In the wake of the backlash, his ďLevitatingĒ collaborator is calling him out while sharing her support for the LGBTQ+ community.
ďIím surprised and horrified at DaBabyís comments,Ē Dua Lipa wrote on her Instagram Story. ďI really donít recognize this as the person I worked with. I know my fans know where my heart lies and that I stand 100% with the LGTBQ community. We need to come together to fight the stigma and ignorance around HIV/AIDS.Ē
The father of openly gay rapper Lil Nas X is also condemning DaBaby for his vile remarks. Robert Stafford, who is a gospel musician, shared an Instagram Story with a photo of his son alongside DaBaby, which was soundtracked by their 2019 ďPanini (Remix)Ē collaboration.
ďBruh sit down you had your time,Ē he wrote in his caption.
Nas himself has not addressed the controversy, only tweeting ďlolĒ after DaBabyís comments went viral.

Following the criticism, DaBaby tried to clarify his comments, claiming that his words were ďtwistedĒ and that he doesnít discriminate against anyone who comes to his shows.
ďThis s**t donít concern yíall at all. Donít be disturbiní my motherf**kiní gay fans,Ē he said. ďYou ainít supposed to get it. It ainít supposed to translate through a little 6-second clip on the cell phone. You ainít supposed to see that s**t anyway.Ē
