The nominations for the 2025 Grammy Awards are in and some of your favorite rappers are in line to compete for a golden gramophone during the ceremony next year.

Rappers Nominated for Grammy Awards

On Friday (Nov. 8), The Recording Academy revealed the nominees for the 67th annual Grammy Awards, which will take place next February. Kendrick Lamar‘s inescapable single “Not Like Us” has been nominated for Song of the Year, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, Record of the Year and Best Music Video. He is also nominated in the Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song categories for his appearance on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That,” bringing K-Dot total to seven nominations.

The Best Rap Album nominees include Future and Metro Boomin‘s We Don’t Trust You, J. Cole‘s Might Delete Later, Common and Pete Rock‘s The Auditorium, Vol. 1, Doechii‘s Alligator Bites Never Heal and Eminem‘s The Death Of Slim Shady (Coupe De Grâce).

Mustard has received a nod for Producer of the Year Non-Classical. In addition to her Best Rap Album nod, Doechii is also up for Best New Artist. Andre 3000‘s instrumental album New Blue Sun is up for Album of the Year. Post Malone is also up for a whopping seven awards but none in rap-related categories.

The 2025 Grammy Awards will take place on Feb. 2, 2025, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The host for the ceremony has yet to be announced. Trevor Noah has hosted the event for the last four years.

What Went Down at 2024 Grammy Awards?

Last year’s Grammy Awards was highlighted by Killer Mike winning big. He swept the rap category earning awards for Best Rap Album (Michael), Best Rap Song (“Scientists and Engineers” featuring André 3000, Future and Eryn Allen Kane, and Best Rap Performance (“Scientists and Engineers” featuring André 3000, Future and Eryn Allen Kane). His big moment was marred by his arrest at the event after getting into a confrontation with a female security guard. The charges were later dropped.

Lecrae nabbed two awards for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for “Your Power” with Tasha Cobbs Leonard and Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for Church Clothes 4. The award show also featured Lil Durk winning his first Grammy Award for Best Melodic Rap Performance for “All My Life” featuring J. Cole. Jay-Z received the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award.
