Find Out When BTS’s First ‘Map of the Soul: 7’ Single Drops With This Handy ‘Comeback Map’

On Tuesday (Jan. 7), BTS announced the start of a new era with their upcoming album Map of the Soul: 7, and now the LP's first single is on its way.

According to a "comeback map" released by the band on Wednesday (Jan. 8), the as-yet-untitled song is set to drop Jan. 17 just one week after the release of the era's first trailer, titled "Shadow." The new track will also debut alongside an accompanying art film performed by Slovenian dance troupe MN Dance Company.

The mapped out schedule also reveals that the BTS A.R.M.Y. can expect the album's full tracklist to be unveiled during phase three of the roll-out on Feb. 17, while the official music video for the lead single will arrive one week after the album drops on Feb. 28.

Map of the Soul: 7 will serve as the follow-up to group's 2019 EP, Map of the Soul: Persona, which featured the Halsey-assisted crossover hit "Boy With Luv," "Make It Right" featuring Lauv, and popular album cut "Dionysus."
