G-SHOCK has unveiled its latest lineup of retro-futuristic watches under its Forgotten Future collection. The collection comprises models from the brand’s popular series, including GA-700, GA-2100, GA-2200, and DW-5600 all dressed in metallic silver.
From the case to the band, all four references are coated in a shimmery layer of metallic paint and paired with a mirror-finished LCD dial. The choice of color harks back to classic science fiction and draws on a retro-futuristic design aesthetic.
Exuding mechanistic industrial chic, the GA700FF-8A is elevated with a silver vapor deposition on the dial, complete with a complementing metallic hue for its angular indexes. Also doused in head-to-toe silver metallic paint, the GA2200FF-8A incorporates a translucent material to bring out a stronger contrast between the dial and the indices.
Arriving in its usual minimalist and octagonal silhouette, the DW5600FF-8 emanates retro-futuristic sleekness via its simple design. As for the GA2100FF-8A, its dial is given a circular hairline finish to bring out a juxtaposing yet complementing effect with the cases and bezel’s glimmering look.
Currently available for purchase, the GA700FF-8A, GA2100FF-8A, and the DW5600FF-8 are all priced at $120 USD, while the GA2200FF-8A retails for $160 USD. Check out the Forgotten Future collection in more detail over at G-SHOCK’s official website.
Elsewhere in watches, Breitling has launched three new references based on its original Ref. 765 AVI timepiece.
