Justin Bieber Wants to ‘Start Trying’ for a Baby This Year

Baby, baby, baby.

Justin Bieber is ready to become a dad. In his new Amazon Prime Video documentary Justin Bieber: Our World, released Friday, the superstar singer tells his wife Hailey Baldwin that he is ready to start a family.

“My intention for 2021 is to continue to set goals and have fun while doing them. Make sure I put my family first and hopefully we squish out a nugget,” Bieber told his wife the morning before his New Year’s Eve 2020 concert, reports PEOPLE.

“In 2021?” responded Baldwin, prompting Bieber to say that he wanted to “start trying” at the end of 2021.

“We shall see,” the model replied.

The couple, who married in 2018, have previously shared plans to become parents. “I want to start my own family, in due time,” Bieber told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe last year. “I want to enjoy being married for a little bit, go on tour, be married, enjoy traveling with just us, build more of our relationship.”

In December, Bieber told Ellen DeGeneres that he’s letting his wife take the lead. “I am going to have as many [kids] as Hailey is wishing to push out,” he said. “I’d love to have myself a little tribe. But, yeah, it’s her body and whatever she wants to do. … I think she wants to have a few.”

On Friday, Bieber released a video for his Justice single “Ghost” starring Oscar-winning actress Diane Keaton. He also dropped three additional songs as part of Justice (The Complete Edition) including “Red Eye” with TroyBoi, “Angels Speak,” and “Hailey,” dedicated to his wife.
