Over two decades since its initial 1998 release, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is now diamond certified. With over 10,000,000+ units sold, its safe to say that Lauryn Hill’s debut album has successfully reached the heart of the masses.

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) reported the grand news early last week, profoundly joining other high-end diamond releases like Britney Spears’ …Baby One More Time,  2Pac’s All Eyez On Me, Adele’s 21, Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LPand even Michael Jackson’s Thriller.

Reaching # 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill sold over 400,000 units in its first week. With 16 tracks and 3 popular appearances like Mary J. Blige, Carlos Santana, and , the young super star instantly and organically became a hit.

The success was major and beyond earned, garnering 10 Grammy nominations and 5 actual awards for the young and talented 23-year-old.
