Logic Returns From Retirement: ‘I’m Back’

Logic is back.

Nearly one year after announcing his retirement, the Maryland rapper is returning to the game. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, he shared the big announcement in a two-word statement inspired by one that Michael Jordan released via fax in 1995 when he announced his return to the Chicago Bulls.

“I’m back,” Logic wrote on stationary featuring his own logo for “R.A.T.T. (Real All The Time)” while teasing a drop this Friday.

This isn’t the first time Logic has teased his comeback. In April, he revealed that he and Madlib formed a new duo called MadGic. The two also dropped their first song, “Mars Only Pt. 3.” “Made this whole album in a lockdown / Hip-hop is our town / Hairline like Doc Brown but I’m killin’ it, mad villainous,” he raps.

Prior to that, Logic dropped his surprise track “Tired in Malibu,” on which he revealed that he was returning to rap after a brief hiatus. “Retired for a minute, but I guess I’m back, man,” he raps.

Last July, the husband and father announced that he was retiring to focus on his family after releasing his sixth and so-called final album No Pressure.
