Old Dominion Do 'Some People Do' at ACM Presents: Our Country

Old Dominion performed a stripped-down version of their most recent single “Some People Do” on Sunday night (Apr. 5) for the ACM Presents: Our Country special on CBS.

The band normally operates as a five-piece, but for the socially distanced version of “Some People Do,” they did it as a duo of singer Matthew Ramsey and guitarist/keyboardist Trevor Rosen, live from the latter’s house. Rosen played piano as Ramsey sang an emotionally and sonically bare version of the apologetic ballad.

As host Gayle King pointed out after the performance, Old Dominion are the most-nominated group at the now-upcoming ACM Awards this September, with nods for song, single and video of the year (all for Billboard Hot 100 hit top 20 hit “One Man Band”), as well as group of the year. “Some People Do” is still climbing Billboard‘s Country Airplay listing, hitting No. 40 this week in its fifth week on the chart.
