Fender and Saint Laurent have come together for a special co-branded collection featuring a limited-edition Stratocaster guitar, ‘65 Deluxe Reverb Fender x Saint Laurent Amplifier, and Celluloid Picks. In 1961, the year the eponymous YSL label was founded in Paris, Fender began hitting its stride in its infamous “Golden Era†with an expanding catalog of guitars, basses, amplifiers, and complementary accessories. Saint Laurent Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello‘s latest series showcases the expertise of Fender’s innovative luthiers while capturing the soul of Saint Laurent’s signature.

Highlighting the series is a gloss-black urethane Stratocaster guitar featuring a combination of an alder body and a maple ’60s Oval “Câ€-shaped neck with a flat-laminated ebony fingerboard and sterling silver dot inlays. For a Fender tone with a contemporary look, the 1-ply phenolic pickguard is equipped with hand-wound ’60s Stratocaster pickups in black lipstick covers.
The amp, one of Fender’s timeless classics, appears in a mid-’60s style prized by rock, blues, and country players globally. Details include black grille cloth, upgraded covers, and YSL logo embellishments. Finally, the collection is complete with custom Celluloid Picks for any playing style or technique, featuring Fender’s classic 351 shape for an easy grip. 6 picks, which come black, white, and checkered, fit into a co-branded collector’s tin.
Only 10 guitars have been made worldwide which are available exclusively via SLRD stores in Paris and Los Angeles. Additional guitars can be made again upon request.
