It’s time for comeback season.

Thanks to COVID-19, 2020 has been a year of extreme loss and uncertainty for everyone in music. Leaving many like Cincinnati rapper Speed Walton, looking at 2021 as a “bounce back” period, preparing new projects and strategies that profit within the new landscape. This brings us to today’s announcement from the Real Name Speed creator in his upcoming album.

Called Sorry I’ve Been Busy. The forthcoming album will be Walton’s first feature since the departure from his former label. He enlists longtime friend and Pusha T-collaborator Sal Dali as executive producer. Speed promises to be his best work yet and shake up the industry. “A breath of fresh air in a polluted industry,” Walton wrote in the press release.

Wiz Khalifa, John Mayer, Speed Walton’s resume includes touring with some of the biggest names in today’s music. The one-half of Space Invadaz dominated at the Cincinnati Entertainment Awards for a stretch of several years, scoring more than a dozen nominations in a variety of categories and winning the Hip Hop trophy every year between 2012-2016 and redefining the Ohio’s perception of where heights can be taken some credit Speed Walton already a legend in his hometown rightfully so — Speed changed his stage-name a couple of years ago, then pulled a Lebron James and relocated from Ohio to Los Angeles to further pursue his career in the music industry.
