The singer-songwriter explores her freedom with her latest album 333. On the 16-track project, released independently via her Tinashe Music Inc. label, she takes full control of her creativity while embracing experimentation on songs like ďBouncin, Pt. 2Ē and ďLet Me Down Slowly.Ē
In addition to the Buddy-assisted ďPasadena,Ē Jeremih (ďXĒ) and Kaash Paige (ďAngelsĒ) make appearances, along with her brother KUDZAI, who guests on the closer ďItís a Wrap.Ē
333 marks the beginning of a new chapter for the 28-year-old. ďOver the course of the last two years, thereís been a lot of growth for me,Ē Tinashe told Grammy.com. ďI really feel at peace with where Iím at in my career and excited about the fact that Iím able to make my own creative decisions. Itís empowering. Iím feeling a lot more inspired and joyful in alignment with what Iím meant to be doing.Ē
And she couldnít be happier with the results. ďIím really proud of myself with this project because I just feel like I took all of the things that I learned about what I didnít want to do, about how I didnít want to move, about like what doesnít feel right,Ē she told Apple Music. ďItís really helped me develop just a much more centered idea of what my art and my project and my purpose is.Ē
