The Black Keys Cancel 2020 Tour Dates

The Black Keys announced on Tuesday (May 12) that their summer North American headlining tour has been canceled.

“We are very disappointed to let you know the US Let’s Rock Summer tour is no longer happening,” the band said in a statement. “We were looking forward to seeing you all out there, but the health and safety of our fans and crew has to take priority. We hope to see you all soon. Please stay safe!”

Ticket holders will be emailed with their refund options; head here for more information.

The 36-date run was set to kick off July 7 at Seattle, WA’s White River Amphitheatre with stops in major cities like Dallas, TX; Portland, OR and Chicago, IL before wrapping up Sept. 6 at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL. The tour was in support of The Black Keys’ ninth studio album, Let’s Rock, which was released in June 2019.

Openers for select dates on the tour were to include Gary Clark Jr., Jessy Wilson, Allah-Las, The Marcus King Band and 2020 best new artist Grammy nominee Yola.
