Tomorrowland Around the World will happen online from June 25-27.

Belgian dance mega-fest Tomorrowland has announced an upcoming online festival, Tomorrowland Around the World. The two-day event will happen June 25-27, dates that were originally supposed to host the second weekend of the two-weekend festival before it was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Instead, the interactive online festival will feature performances from many dance world stars. (A lineup for the event has not yet been announced.) Tomorrowland Around the World will feature eight stages and include the reveal of the 2020 mainstage, a perennial marquee attraction of the festival. Additional activities will include games, workshops and educational talks. Fans can participate via a PC, laptop, smartphone or tablet, with no VR equipment necessary.

The livestream is one of the first in the dance scene to charge for admission, with a one day pass going for $13 and a two-day pass costing $22, with the two-day price including a week of video-on-demand content from the event. The event will broadcast from 9 a.m – 7 p.m ET, with “time-zone-friendly” options for people tuning in from North or South American and Asia.

“We hope that hundreds of thousands of people will unite in a responsible way and that small Tomorrowland gatherings at people’s homes – from Canada to Australia, from Japan to Brazil and everywhere in between – will be organized,” Tomorrowland co-founder Michiel Beers says in a statement.

Drawing roughly, 400,000 a year, Tomorrowland is the world’s biggest dance music festival and was set to celebrate its 16th anniversary in 2020.
