URWERK Expands Its UR-120 Lineup With a Space Black Colorway

Expanding its collection of unconventional novelties, URWERK has introduced a new iteration of its UR-120 model in a sleek Space Black colorway.

Speaking on the new variant, Martin Frei, URWERK’s co-founder and artistic director says, “The UR-120 Space Black is all about the power of black in design. The use of black not only exudes elegance but also fundamentally transforms our perception of the object. Black works its magic by subtly distorting our judgments of size while intensifying the watch’s contours to create a truly mesmerizing effect.”

Amalgamating advanced technology, science fiction, and celestial inspiration, the new reference upkeeps the model’s signature open-satellite case design. Synonymous with its predecessors’ designs, the watch measures 47mm in diameter, 44mm in height, and 15.8 mm in thickness. Its case is crafted from sandblasted titanium with a stainless steel bezel, both treated in black DLC, complete with a black Cordura embossed calf leather strap to match. Beating at its core is URWERK’s own UR-20.01 self-winding caliber, powering the piece with 48 hours of power reserve as well as 30 meters of water resistance.

Released as part of the brand’s permanent collection, the UR-120 in Space Black retails for 110,000 CHF (approximately $122,679 USD). For more information regarding its availability, head over to URWERK’s official website.
