After teaming up with Daddy Yankee, Ozuna, and Bad Bunny on earlier tracks, Sech is going it alone on his new single, “Relación” (Relationship).
Similar to his chart-topping “Otro Trago,” the new track is about a woman who has moved on from a toxic relationship and is living her best single life. “Everything changed now, it’s her turn/ A party and a bottle/ Thanks to the abuse, she got more beautiful/ Now you want her but she doesn’t want you,” the Panamanian artist says in the empowering chorus.
The infectious melody fuses raw reggaeton with dancehall, adding another infectious club banger to the books. The video, which landed on YouTube’s Trending page on Friday (April 3), finds Sech watching the tragic love story unfold on a TV screen. The scenes show a couple arguing on their wedding day, the runaway bride then partying with her friends and ultimately bumping into Sech.
As the video was released in the midst of the COVID-19 global health crisis, Sech tacked an important PSA to the end of the clip: “Take care and stay home.”
