Ronny J is back with “Typical” from his upcoming album Jupiter. However, the single is everything but typical for Miami’s most in-demand producer – trading in his signature bass-heavy production for isolated guitar lines and murky, industrial soundscapes. Ronny J embodies peak sad boi energy in “Typical,” as he muses over another tarnished relationship – “how am I supposed to trust anything / after you ran over me, left me here to bleed.“ Ronny J continues to prove his versatility as a producer and rapper, giving us another layer of his prolific musical mind.
It is an even more important day for Ronny J, as he offered production to Juice WRLD’s “Conversations” from his posthumous album Legends Never Die. The Miami-based artist also recently earned a production credit for “Wash Us In Blood,” the new single by Kanye West and Travis Scott, and collaborated with his friend Smokepurpp on his recent album Florida Jit. “Typical” and “Miami” continue an eventful 2020 for Ronny J, who established himself as one of the rap game’s most vital figures. Ronny J’s upcoming album, Jupiter, is the proper follow up to his 2018 solo album OMGRONNY, which featured the hit “Costa Rica” (85M streams). Keep an eye out for more from Ronny J this month!
