Trinidad-born, Romford-raised singer, rapper, songwriter and producer Berwyn releases his second solo single ‘TRAP PHONE’. This follows his acclaimed debut single ‘GLORY’. Quickly becoming one of the most talked about new voices in UK Music and now worldwide, after Drake posted on Instagram in support of his moving Later… with Jools Holland performance.
The mournful song displays Berwyns musical capabilities in which he raps and melodically sings over the ultra-fine instrumental. Speaking from the heart, he describes the challenges which he has faced in his life, with the visuals highlighting the great amount of emotion he possesses. The video was directed by frequent collaborator Brock Neal Roberts who also directed the previous release, Glory.
Already attracting the attention of some key figures in music, BERWYN collaborated with XL Recordings’s Richard Russell on the latest Everything Is Recorded album and appeared on Fred again.. and Headie One’s ‘GANG’ mixtape. After creating such a buzz, many of us are anticipating the upcoming project which is due to be released later this year.
