At the end of April, BTS group members Suga, Jin, and Jimin posted a video on the Korean mobile app WeVerse, flaunting their best choreography to Daddy Yankee’s 2019 hit “Con Calma.”
For nearly three minutes, the boys are seen jumping side-to-side, raising their hands, and swaying their bodies up and down as they follow the moves on the TV screen. As a result, “Con Calma” became a worldwide trend on Twitter and the loyal army immediately began asking for a much-needed BTS and Daddy Yankee collaboration.
Meanwhile, Billboard asked readers to vote for the next Latin song the K-pop sensations should dance to, highlighting hits such as Karol G’s “Tusa,” Rosalia’s “Con Altura,” and J Balvin’s “Reggaeton.”
After a two-week poll, fans picked Nicky Jam and J Balvin’s sensual reggaeton-dancehall “X (Equis)” with over 35 percent of the votes. The song is followed by DJ Snake, Selena Gomez, Ozuna, Cardi B’s “Taki Taki” with nearly 31 percent.
