Drake and Future Reunite After Beef on New Song ‘Ran to Atlanta’

Drake and Future have officially mended their fractured relationship, reuniting on the track 'Ran to Atlanta' from Drake's latest album, 'Iceman'.

Drake and Future have officially put their high-profile rift behind them, reuniting on the new Iceman album track, “Ran to Atlanta.”

On Friday (May 15), Drake delivered his long-awaited Iceman LP, alongside two additional projects, Habibti and Maid of Honour. The Iceman album features a star-studded lineup, including 21 Savage, Molly Santana, and the return of his former collaborator, Future. The track “Ran to Atlanta,” which also features Molly Santana, marks the first time the two hip-hop heavyweights have shared a song since 2022.

The reconciliation comes after a period of significant tension. Once considered one of the most prolific duos in modern hip-hop, the pair’s relationship soured in 2023. By March 2024, the situation escalated when Future and Metro Boomin released We Don’t Trust You, an album that contained several pointed jabs at the Toronto rapper. The subsequent release of “Like That,” featuring Kendrick Lamar, ignited a massive rap battle that dominated the industry and eventually led to legal action involving Universal Music Group.

Drake addressed the fallout on his own track, “Push Ups,” suggesting that he felt betrayed by the shift in his friendship with Future and implying that outside influences had manipulated the situation. While neither artist has publicly detailed the specific catalyst for their falling out—despite widespread rumors involving personal matters—the tension appeared to thaw recently. In April, Future was spotted wearing apparel from Drake’s Nike Nocta brand, signaling that the two had likely reconciled behind the scenes.

With the release of “Ran to Atlanta,” the two artists have effectively closed the chapter on their public feud. Fans can listen to the new collaboration below.
