Drake Makes History as First Artist to Hold Billboard 200’s Top Three Spots

Drake has achieved an unprecedented milestone by securing the top three positions on the Billboard 200 chart simultaneously with his latest album releases.

Drake has officially cemented his status as a record-breaking titan in the music industry. The Toronto-born superstar has become the first artist in history to occupy the top three spots on the Billboard 200 chart at the same time, following the release of his latest projects: Iceman, Habibti, and Maid of Honour.

According to a report published by Billboard on Sunday, May 24, 2026, the trifecta of albums debuted at No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3, respectively. This achievement marks a historic milestone for the artist, as he is the first to hold the top three entries concurrently since the Billboard 200 chart began its weekly publication in March 1956.

The commercial performance of these projects has been staggering. Iceman led the charge with 463,000 equivalent album units, while Habibti and Maid of Honour contributed 114,000 and 110,000 units, respectively. In total, the OVO leader moved 687,000 units in the week following their May 15 release.

With this latest feat, Drake has secured 15 career No. 1 albums, surpassing the record previously held by Jay-Z, who has 14. He is currently tied with Taylor Swift for the most No. 1 albums among solo artists, trailing only The Beatles, who hold the all-time record with 19.

The rollout for these projects has been as intense as the chart performance. Alongside the music, the artist released 18 music videos. Iceman, in particular, has dominated the cultural conversation, largely due to lyrical references aimed at Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Rick Ross, and Jay-Z.

Not everyone has been receptive to the new material. Rick Ross recently criticized the project during an appearance on the PBD Podcast, describing the music as “horrendous” and suggesting that the artist’s recent legal actions against Universal Music Group were a response to the emotional toll of public scrutiny.
