Drake is making bold statements as he builds anticipation for his upcoming album. In the fourth episode of his Iceman series, the rapper has seemingly directed pointed criticism toward long-time collaborator DJ Khaled.
During a segment of the episode, Drake delivered a bar that directly addressed the producer: “Khaled you know what I mean… Your people are still waiting for a ‘Free Palestine’ but apparently everything isn’t black and white and red and green,” referencing the colors of the Palestinian flag.
Observers suggest this lyrical jab serves a dual purpose. It appears to be an attempt by Drake to clarify his own position on the ongoing humanitarian crisis, while simultaneously expressing frustration with DJ Khaled for his perceived lack of support during Drake’s high-profile feud with Kendrick Lamar. The episode, which featured these layered critiques and political commentary, has since been removed or set to private.
