More details are emerging in Lil Keed’s death.
The YSL rapper, born Raqhid Jevon Render, died on Friday at age 24. Now a new report claims he was hospitalized for organ failure in the days leading up to his death.
According to TMZ, Keed complained to his friends and family that he was suffering from severe stomach pain. The situation reportedly got so bad that he went to an L.A. hospital to receive medical treatment. His liver and kidneys eventually started failing, resulting in his death.
The Atlanta MC reportedly battled with alcohol and drugs over the years, but had been clean and sober as of late.
Lil Gotit mourned his brother’s death Friday night on Instagram. “Can’t believe I seened u die today bro,” he wrote. “I did all my cries I know what u want me to do and that’s go hard for Mama Daddy Our Brothers Naychur and Whiteboy.”
He also revealed that he spoke to Young Thug, who is currently in jail on racketeering charges. “Talked to @thuggerthugger1 yesterday keed u fu**ed him up with this one but we know you guarding him through these times and make sure he gone be alright,” said Gotit. “We da Proud Family can’t nothing stop us.”

Lil Keed signed to Young Stoner Life Records in 2018, but he was not named in the recent RICO indictment with Young Thug and Gunna.
