LOEWE’s Pixelated Clothing Now Comes in Monochrome

Jonathan Anderson‘s LOEWE delivered a pixelated array back in April 2023, creating clothes that looked as if they were straight out of an 8-bit video game. They were doused in bold hues of yellow-tan and baby blue, outlined in black to give the pieces further two-dimensional trompe-l’œil — and now, the House presents its pixel collection in a monochromatic palette.

Like the pieces that came before it, the latest drop offers hoodies and T-shirts crafted in either a technical knit or cotton, respectively. The hoodie is of particular interest, as it adopts the most illusionary of effects. Here, a grey base is outlined in black, or you can opt for a black base with white contrast details, giving the garment structured shoulders, hems, drawstrings, and further 2D elements on the hood and pocket.

As for the T-shirt, LOEWE disguises its House monogram in a pixelated form, doing so with embroidery that — up close — reveals a multitude of colors that confuse the eye.

These new pixelated items can be found in-store and online alongside a wider selection of complementing items, ranging from the original technical knit pixelated T-shirt to denim twin-sets.

In related news, JW Anderson has dropped its FW23 Frog Clutch Bag.
