Megan Thee Stallion Says Tory Lanez Offered Her $1M in Hush Money, Denies Sexual Relationship

Megan Thee Stallion is sharing more details about the shooting allegedly involving Tory Lanez.

In her full sit-down with Gayle King for “CBS Mornings,” which aired Monday, the Houston rapper fought back tears as she described what occurred after she left a party at Kylie Jenner’s house with Tory and her best friend, Kelsey Harris, on July 12, 2020. There was an argument between Tory and Kelsey in their SUV and Megan asked the driver to pull the car over before things escalated.

“Everything happens so fast,” she said. “And all I hear is this man screaming. He said, ‘Dance, bitch’ and he started shooting. And I’m just like, ‘Oh my God.’ He shot a couple of times and I was so scared.”

An emotional Megan recalled the moment she learned she was shot. “I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I’m really bleeding,’” said Megan, who crawled into a driveway after the bloody foot injury. “Like I can’t believe you shot me.”

According to Megan, Lanez apologized and offered to pay Megan and her friend to keep quiet. “He said, ‘I’m so sorry, please don’t tell nobody. I’ll give y’all a million dollars if y’all don’t say nothing.’”

This was around the time of the George Floyd murder and Megan feared the worst. “We didn’t even make it to the house. Somebody had already called the police. It was so many of them, it was helicopters. I was like, ‘Oh my God, we all about to die.’”

Out of fear for their safety, she told the police that she cut her feet on glass. “For some reason, I was just trying to protect all of us because I didn’t want them to kill us, even though this person just did this to me. My first reaction still was to try to save us. I didn’t want to see anybody die.”

CBS obtained text messages between Kelsey and Megan’s security guard in which Kelsey allegedly wrote, “Help. Tory shot Meg.”

Megan revealed that when her mother passed she was “looking for some type of family environment” and that led to her friendship with Lanez, but the two were not a couple.

“We were not dating. We were really close. We were friends. We hung out every day and his mom passed too, so I felt like we were bonding over that,” she said.

When King asked if she and Lanez were “intimate,” she responded, “I didn’t have a sexual relationship with Tory.”

Tory has claimed that he was intimate with both Megan and Kelsey. “Good D*ick had me fucking 2 best friends …. and I got caught,” he tweeted in February.

King asked why she thinks Tory suggested they were having sex. “I think that he is trying to deflect from the fact that he committed a crime,” said Meg.

Tory has pleaded not guilty to assault and weapons charges and is set to face trial in September. “We look forward to addressing Ms. Pete’s claims–including all its inconsistencies, discrepancies and omissions–in a court of law,” his lawyer, Shawn Holley, told CBS in a statement.

Megan looks forward to the facts playing out in court. “I’m the victim. I’m not defending myself against anything. Something happened to me.”

The incident has also left her mentally scarred. “I feel like my anxiety is worse. I feel like my relationship with people has gotten very cold ’cause I’m not as trusting as I used to be,” she said. “I’ve got this wall and I don’t want to make any friends. I’m trying to be as nice as I can to everybody. New people, I probably won’t even hold a conversation longer than 30 minutes ’cause I feel like every time I’m talking, I’m, like, on the verge of tears and I don’t want to have to explain to strangers why I’m crying.”
