Update: After official images surfaced earlier in February, we now have a release date for the Nike Dunk Low “Rainbow Trout” confirmed for June 16. The colorway is said to be inspired by the official state fish of Oregon, the home state of Nike’s headquarters. Trout patterns decorate the side leather panels and overt references to the fish are seen on the tongue tab and insoles. Priced at $110 USD, the pairs will be made available via Nike and select shops. For more information, head below for our initial coverage.

Original Story: Every season looks to be Nike Dunk season as the silhouette trots its way into the new year with all sorts of releases lined up. Iterating on the Dunk Low further, Nike has put together a fish-themed “Rainbow Trout” pair that joins a previously revealed silver pair in outfitting its lateral Swooshes with fishhooks.

In this early preview of the colorway, the branding elements aren’t the only references to fish as its ripstop base features a pattern similar to that of a rainbow trout. These yellow spots match the golden yellow scaly Swooshes that shine with a fishhook design attached on the lateral’s Swoosh. Rough suede overlays are covered in a forest green while the heel remixes suede in orange and pink patches. Its cream sole features orange stitching that matches the ripstop tongue that carries a fish drawing with “Nike Beaverton 1972” text written on it.

Currently, Nike has yet to share any release information for the Nike Dunk Low “Rainbow Trout” and its silver counterpart. Look for it to land on shelves via Nike and select retailers in the coming months.

In other footwear news, as release for the upcoming UNION x Air Jordan 1 KO Low nears, on-foot shots have revealed repeating “UN/LA” text in black beneath the Velcro base of its Swooshes.
