Pooh Shiesty’s Father to Be Released Pending Gucci Mane Robbery Trial

Lontrell Williams Sr. has been granted bond as he awaits trial alongside his son, Pooh Shiesty, in connection to an alleged robbery involving Gucci Mane.

Lontrell Williams Sr., the father of rapper Pooh Shiesty, is set to be released from federal custody. A judge ordered his release on bond this past Wednesday, May 27, while the high-profile robbery and kidnapping case against him, his son, and seven other co-defendants remains pending in Texas federal court.

The legal proceedings stem from an incident on January 10, where prosecutors allege that Pooh Shiesty, his father, Big30, and several associates lured Gucci Mane to a Dallas music studio under the pretense of discussing business. Investigators claim that during the session, the group forcibly coerced the rapper into signing a release at gunpoint while stripping him and others of cash and jewelry.

The FBI reportedly obtained a statement from Gucci Mane regarding the events. Following a raid on the elder Williams’ home in Tennessee this past April, the suspects were taken into custody. While Pooh Shiesty and Big30 have pleaded not guilty, they remain incarcerated after their respective bonds were revoked.

The federal trial for the nine defendants is currently scheduled to begin on July 6. If convicted on the charges, the men could face significant prison time, including potential life sentences.
