T.I. is stirring up more controversy.
Amid allegations of sexual assault, the Atlanta rapper is weighing in on DaBabyís viral comments. While on stage at Rolling Loud Miami on Sunday, the ďBall If I Want ToĒ rapper raised eyebrows for his rant against the LGBTQ+ community.
ďIf you didnít show up today with HIV, AIDS, any of them deadly sexually-transmitted diseases thatíll make you die in two, three weeks, put a cell phone lighter up,Ē DaBaby told the crowd. ďFellas, if you ainít suckiní dick in the parking lot, put your cell phone lights up.Ē
His DJ also chimed in, ďSome of yíall ni**as suspect as a motherfu**er, letís be real.Ē
DaBabyís homophobic remarks sparked backlash on social media, prompting T.I. to respond. He came to DaBabyís defense, while mentioning Lil Nas X, who is openly gay.
ďIf Lil Nas X can kick his shit in peaceÖ so should dababy,Ē he commented.
Despite his sentiments, T.I. insisted that he is not homophobic. ďAinít nothing in the world goní make me hate somebody cause they do something different in the bedroom than I do,Ē he said on Instagram Live. ďYou canít make me homophobic just Ďcause Iím proud to be heterosexual. Ainít no hate in that.Ē
He applauded artists like Lil Nas X and Frank Ocean for ďliving their truth.Ē ďA lot of you motherfu**ers hide your truth,Ē he added. ďI got a lot of respect for [Lil Nas X], but that shit ainít for me. I donít want my children seeing it either. Their minds havenít developed to the place where they can sort it out.Ē
DaBabyís Rolling Loud set was marred by controversy. He also brought out Tory Lanez following Megan Thee Stallionís set.
