Yung Miami Drops Her Debut Album Watch Dis! Featuring Heartfelt Song ‘Dear JT’

Yung Miami has officially released her debut solo album, 'Watch Dis!', marking a triumphant comeback with an all-star lineup and personal reflections.

After delivering what many considered the song of the summer with “Spend Dat,” Yung Miami is officially welcoming the autumn season with the release of her debut studio album, Watch Dis! The project, which arrived on streaming platforms this past Friday, serves as a definitive statement from the former City Girls member, proving her resilience and artistic evolution as a solo act.

The 21-song collection is an ambitious undertaking, featuring an impressive roster of guest appearances from industry heavyweights including Travis Scott, Quavo, G Herbo, Rick Ross, Trina, Trick Daddy, Bryson Tiller, and Summer Walker. The album is anchored by her recent hits, including the trap-influenced “2008” and the abrasive, high-energy track “F You.”

A Personal Comeback

Perhaps the most discussed moment on the album is the track “Dear JT.” In this deeply personal song, Yung Miami addresses the public fallout with her former group partner, JT, offering a vulnerable look at their fractured relationship. She raps about the embarrassment of their public disagreement and expresses a sense of longing for what they could have achieved together, noting, “Sis, we could’ve made history.”

Reflecting on the project’s significance, the rapper took to social media to share her perspective on the journey. “This is my story. My first solo album. My comeback. My truth. To everybody who counted me out… THANK YOU!” she wrote. “To everybody who never stopped believing in me… this is for you. Now Watch Dis.”

Visuals and Tracklist

The album’s aesthetic, heavily inspired by the iconic 1980s television series Miami Vice, adds a cohesive layer to her current era. With “Spend Dat” having already climbed to No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year, the album arrives with significant momentum.
