During a Kick livestream on Wednesday, August 19, DDG addressed the public tension that arose after Blueface expressed frustration over his absence. While the situation led to some online speculation regarding the status of their relationship, DDG was quick to reassure fans that the two remain on good terms.
“Me and Blueface are cool, y’all. Blueface was not wrong,” DDG explained during the broadcast. “Blueface is my real friend. I have not been tapping in with him like I could have. I took accountability for that. I need to be a better person with responding.”
The friction began when Blueface questioned the nature of their friendship during his own livestream, noting that he felt slighted by the lack of communication. He also mentioned that he and DDG had previously discussed a potential joint tour, which had yet to materialize.
