FBI Investigates Shooting of Offset at Florida Casino, Releases Suspect Photos

The FBI has launched an official investigation into the shooting of Offset at a Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, releasing images of suspects and vehicles involved.

FBI Launches Investigation into Casino Shooting

The FBI Miami field office has officially launched an investigation into the April 6 shooting involving Offset outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. The incident, which resulted in injuries to the Migos rapper, has prompted federal authorities to seek the public’s assistance in identifying those responsible.

In a formal statement provided to the media, the FBI detailed the events of the evening, noting that a large group of individuals assaulted a lone victim. During the altercation, one of the subjects produced a handgun and fired a single shot, striking the victim. Following the shooting, the group attempted to forcibly remove the victim’s watch, though the item was ultimately not stolen.

The FBI has released several images of the alleged suspects and the vehicles used to flee the scene. According to investigators, the group escaped in two Chevrolet SUVs: a matte gray Tahoe and a black Suburban. The black Suburban was reportedly seen heading toward Hollywood, Florida, while the gray Tahoe fled in the direction of Miami.

Context Surrounding the Incident

The investigation follows reports that Lil Tjay was present at the casino during the time of the incident. The Bronx rapper was subsequently arrested and charged with disorderly conduct-affray and driving without a valid license. A probable cause affidavit suggests that Tjay allegedly initiated a physical confrontation with Offset, which reportedly escalated when an associate of the New York rapper opened fire.

Offset has since been released from the hospital following his treatment. Meanwhile, legal representatives for Lil Tjay have issued statements denying the rapper’s direct involvement in the shooting incident. Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit tips via their official portal at tips.fbi.gov.
