Born Brytavious Lakeith Chambers in Memphis, Tay Keith rose to prominence through his early work with local rapper BlocBoy JB. Their collaborative efforts gained significant traction online, eventually catching the attention of global superstar Drake. This partnership led to the 2018 smash hit “Look Alive,” which peaked at #5 on the charts and achieved quintuple platinum status.
Keith’s influence on the sound of modern hip-hop was profound. Before graduating from Middle Tennessee State University in 2018, he had already cemented his status as a top-tier producer by contributing to Travis Scott’s chart-topping Drake collaboration, “Sicko Mode,” and producing Drake’s hit single “Nonstop.” His signature producer tag, “Tay Keith, fuck these n***as up!,” became an iconic staple in contemporary music.
