J Balvin's 'Rojo' Watch

First it was “Blanco,” then “Morado,” and now J Balvin presents his latest single and music video titled “Rojo.”

The Colombian powerhouse released the softer reggaetón song Thursday (Feb. 27) along with an emotional and heart-wrenching cinematic music video filmed by Colin Tilley, who directed the music videos for “Blanco” and “Morado” as well.

In the clip, Balvin, who is on the phone while driving, gets into a fatal car accident while on his way to the hospital to see his newborn. He never gets to see wife again or meet his daughter, but he is with them in spirit at all times — even on his widow’s dates with other men.

“I’m helping my wife find the right guy,” Balvin said about the video in a previous Instagram post. “It’s about being open and not selfish.”

“Rojo (Red),” “Blanco (White)” and “Morado (Purple)” will all be part of Balvin’s forthcoming studio album titled Colores, or Colors, set to drop in late March.

Latinfest+ will be an immersive, weeklong experience for the Latin entertainment industry, artists, executives and fans and will include superstar conversations, industry panels and workshops, celebrity fireside chats, live concerts, fan experiences and live activations of some of Billboard’s most celebrated franchises, including On the Rise and Growing Up Latino.

It all culminates with the Billboard Latin Music Awards, which will air live April 23 on Telemundo.
