VonOff1700 Addresses Recent Arrest After Alleged Mugshot Surfaces

Chicago rapper VonOff1700 has broken his silence following the circulation of an unflattering booking photo and reports of his recent arrest.

Chicago rapper VonOff1700 has addressed his recent arrest after an alleged mugshot began circulating across social media platforms. The artist, who has been at the center of various reports regarding his legal status, took to his own channels to clarify the situation following claims that he was taken into custody last week on charges of unlawful possession of a weapon.

On Thursday, July 30, the rapper provided context for the viral image, which many fans had been discussing online. “On Mick, I went to jail off 30 mins of sleep & a 10 of Tris,” he wrote in a candid post. “That’s what that look like when u get woke up by windows being busted & yo name gettin yelled out a microphone by the police. I just got a haircut let me post my selfie & I just got my tattoos redone stay out my way.”

He further reassured his fanbase regarding his current status, adding, “I’m still free and I got seen.”

While the specific details surrounding the arrest remain somewhat unclear, the rapper had previously informed his followers via a video posted last Friday that he was navigating a “sticky situation.” Despite the legal hurdles, he confirmed that his scheduled tour date on August 8 remains unaffected.

This is not the first time the artist has faced legal scrutiny in Chicago. His history with the Chicago Police Department includes arrests in 2021 and 2022 for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, as well as a 2023 charge for armed robbery with a firearm. As of now, representatives for the artist and the Chicago Police Department have not provided further comment on the latest incident.
