Ice Spice was recently the target of an unprovoked physical attack inside a Los Angeles-area McDonald’s, an incident that was captured on security footage and has since circulated online. The altercation, which occurred early Wednesday morning (April 15), saw the New York rapper confronted while dining with a friend.
According to video footage shared by TMZ, the “Deli” artist was sitting in a booth when an unidentified woman approached her table. Despite clear signals from the rapper and her associate that they were not interested in engagement, the situation escalated when the woman began striking Ice Spice. The scuffle was eventually broken up by a bystander who intervened to pull the attacker away, though the confrontation continued outside the establishment.
In response to the incident, Ice Spice’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, has confirmed that the legal team is taking immediate action. “The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD and we will be pursuing any and all criminal and civil avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions,” Cohen stated. He further noted that they are investigating the restaurant’s security protocols, adding, “We are also exploring holding the location responsible for their apparent lack of appropriate security.”
The individual involved in the altercation, who reportedly goes by the name Vayah, claimed in a statement to TMZ that the confrontation was sparked by a perceived slight, alleging that the rapper was rude when approached for a fan interaction. XXL has reached out to the Los Angeles Police Department for further comment on the ongoing investigation.
